Steps to Reset Phone

This reverts the device back to factory settings.  It will permanently erase all personal data, preferences, settings and content such as pictures, ringtones and apps that are saved to the device. It is recommended that you save (backup) important data before proceeding.

 

  1. From the home screen, tap the Menu icon.
  2. Scroll to and tap Settings.
  3. Scroll to and tap Privacy.
  4. Tap Factory data reset.
  5. Review the displayed warning, and then tap Reset phone to continue.
  6. Review the displayed warning, and then tap Erase everything to continue. Your phone will reboot.

 

Alternate way to Reset Phone

This reverts the device back to factory settings.  It will permanently erase all personal data, preferences, settings and content such as pictures, ringtones and apps that are saved to the device. It is recommended that you save (backup) important data before proceeding.

 

  1. Power off your phone. If unable to power off, remove and reinsert the battery.
  2. Press and hold the T key (on the inner keyboard) and the Power Key.
  3. Release ONLY the Power key when Samsung logo appears.
  4. Press Volume Down to scroll to and highlight Wipe data/factory reset, and then press the Power key.
  5. Scroll to and highlight Yes - delete all user data, and the press the Power key.
  6. When Data wipe complete is displayed at the bottom of the screen, scroll to and highlight Reboot system now, and then press the Power key. Your phone will reboot.

 

 

Warning!: While reset/restore operation under process, you are advised not to remove your battery until the operation is completed and cellphone restarts otherwise phone damage may occur.
