Steps to Reset Phone

Performing a hard reset will remove ALL data including the Google account, system data, application data, application settings, and downloaded applications.


  1. From the home screen, select Applications.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Privacy.
  4. From the Personal data section, select Factory Data Reset.
  5. Select Reset PhoneIf presented, enter the current passcode or draw the unlock pattern.
  6. Select Erase Everything.


Alternate way to Hard Reset

This will erase all user data and reset settings to factory default.


  1. Press and hold the Power button.
  2. Select Power off.
  3. Press and hold the Volume down key+Send key+Power button simultaneously until the Samsung logo appears then release.
  4. From the Android system recovery screen, select wipe data/factory reset.(Utilize the Volume up / down keys to highlight and the Home key (diamond shaped key) to select.)
  5. Press the Volume up key to continue.
  6. Select reboot system nowAllow up to 3 minutes for the reset process to complete.


Warning!: While reset/restore operation under process, you are advised not to remove your battery until the operation is completed and cellphone restarts otherwise phone damage may occur.
