Steps to Reset Phone
A master reset reverts the device settings back to their factory defaults. It will permanently erase all personal data, and content such as pictures, ringtones and apps that are saved to the device. It is recommended that you save (backup) important data before proceeding.
- From the home screen, press the Menu key, and then tap Settings.
- Scroll to and tap Privacy.
- Tap Factory data reset.
- Tap to check Erase SD card to remove all saved media and applications from an inserted Micro SD memory card.
- Tap Reset phone. If security is enabled, enter your unlock PIN, password, or pattern.
- Tap Erase Everything.

- Power the phone off.
- Press and hold the Volume up and the Power key at the same time.
- When you see the Samsung Logo on the screen, release the Power key.
- When you see the Android robot with box image on the screen, press the Menu key.
- You will see the recovery mode screen.
- Press the Volume down key to navigate in the menu and highlight Wipe data/factory reset, and then press the Home key.
- Press the Volume down key to navigate in the menu and highlight Yes -- delete all user data, and then press the Home key.
- Verify reboot system now is highlighted, and then press the Home key.
Warning!: While reset/restore operation under process, you are advised not to remove your battery until the operation is completed
and cellphone restarts otherwise phone damage may occur.
