Steps to Reset Phone
This will reset the phone to factory default settings. This remove ALL data including the Google account, system data, application data, application settings, and downloaded applications.
- From the Home screen, select Apps.
- Select Settings. If necessary, scroll through the screens to find the selection.
- Select Privacy.
- Select Factory data reset.
- Select Reset phone.
- Select Erase Everything.
Alternate way to Reset Phone
This will reset the phone to factory default settings. This remove ALL data including the Google account, system data, application data, application settings, and downloaded applications.
- Ensure the device is powered off.
- Press and hold the volume down and search keys then press the power key. When the Android triage screen (triangle with a yellow exclamation sign) appears, release the keys.
- Press the menu key.
- Using the volume down key, scroll to wipe data/factory reset then press the Home key to select it.
- Using the volume down key, scroll to Yes -- delete all user data then press the Home key to select it. This boot process takes several moments, reference the progress bar located in the upper-right. If the device hangs or freezes, remove / replace the battery.
Warning!: While reset/restore operation under process, you are advised not to remove your battery until the operation is completed
and cellphone restarts otherwise phone damage may occur.
